About
As an ESG Advisor at QIC, CoCo assists listed companies across various industries in Taiwan in enhancing their ESG performance. This includes improving ESG information disclosure, enhancing ESG rating performance, and tailoring ESG communication and engagement with investors. CoCo facilitates these clients' involvement in ESG beyond mere regulatory compliance, enabling them to create and realize value in the capital markets, including gaining more exposure and attracting investment.
Additionally, CoCo aids clients in reviewing shareholder meeting agendas, analyzing voting policies and behaviors from proxy advisory firms and foreign institutional investors, and continuously assisting clients in improving corporate governance practices. In recent years, CoCo has also been involved in numerous major proxy contests in Taiwan, helping clients garner support from foreign institutional investors in the contests.
Experience
CoCo's career journey began at QIC, where she initially joined as an Equity Research Intern while completing her undergraduate degree. After graduating, CoCo transitioned into the role of Analyst, contributing her expertise to industry research and analysis across diverse sectors such as banking, chemicals, technology hardware, and consumer goods.
Simultaneously, driven by a strong interest in ESG matters, CoCo acquired knowledge encompassing the global sustainability landscape, understanding various stakeholders and their interests, tracking reporting and transparency trends, and staying abreast of evolving legislation. Furthermore, CoCo became well-versed in various third-party ESG ratings frameworks and methodologies.
Today, leveraging her comprehensive understanding and expertise in ESG matters, CoCo assists clients in navigating the complexities of sustainability, empowering them to improve their ESG performance.
Education & Fun Facts
CoCo earned her Bachelor's Degree in Money and Banking from National Chengchi University, with additional studies as a business school exchange student at the National University of Singapore.
Outside of work, CoCo has a Sunday morning routine of playing golf with her father. Furthermore, she prefers summer over winter and is super excited about doing all sorts of water activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving.
