Jay mainly focuses on the Biotechnology, healthcare, and technology hardware sectors. He supports the team in financial modeling, valuation analysis, investor relations (IR), evaluating investment opportunities across both public and private markets, preparing company research reports, and developing capital markets communication materials. His work helps clients better understand a company's operating performance, growth strategy, and investment value. Jay's research focuses on analyzing business models, industry trends, and corporate performance, leveraging financial and industry data to identify key operational drivers and future growth opportunities. Through these insights, he helps clients make informed long-term strategic and investment decisions.
Experience
Jay has internship experience in investment research, industry analysis, and financial analysis across sectors including startups, financial holding companies, venture capital, and life insurance. He previously served as an Economic Researcher at Fiisual and was involved in the early-stage operations of a startup, where he contributed to research planning and team development. Jay later interned at WI Harper, conducting research on biotechnology and healthcare industry trends, evaluating potential investment opportunities, participating in meetings with startup companies, analyzing revenue and business models, and assessing the feasibility of financial forecasts. These experiences further strengthened his expertise in early-stage investing and industry research. He also interned with the Alternative Investments Department at Nan Shan Life Insurance, where he gained exposure to research on REITs, private equity funds, and alternative asset markets.
Education & Fun Facts
Jay holds a Master's degree in Finance from National Taiwan University and double-majored in Public Finance and Finance for his Bachelor's degree at National Chengchi University. During both his undergraduate and graduate studies, he was an outside hitter on the university varsity volleyball team and remains a passionate volleyball player. Outside of work, Jay enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing sports, spending time with friends, playing video games, learning guitar, and relaxing with his pet turtle. He is also passionate about supporting educational initiatives in rural communities and volunteering with youth education programs.
