Ted is a research analyst supporting senior advisors on value-creation and M&A projects across the semiconductor, downstream component, and consumer industries. His core responsibilities include identifying suitable investors, organizing global non-deal roadshows, and developing detailed financial models and investor presentations. Ted excels in qualitative equity research, leveraging industry channel checks and engaging with management teams, buy-side and sell-side analysts, and industry specialists to deliver actionable insights. He is skilled in building strategic financial models and presenting key findings directly to the chairpersons of major client accounts, driving informed decision-making and long-term value creation.
Experience
Before joining QIC as a research analyst in 2024, Ted gained extensive experience through internships across FINI buy-side and local sell-side institutions. He served as a Hedge Fund Analyst Intern at Cloudalpha Capital (An HK-based Hedge Fund), where he supported semiconductor and downstream component coverage through data mining, house-view development, and financial model building. Ted also completed a summer internship at KGI Securities and an S&T internship at Fubon Futures.
Education & Fun Facts
Ted holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the College of Commerce at National Chengchi University. Outside of his professional endeavors, Ted is an avid powerlifting enthusiast, continually challenging himself with heavier bench presses, squats, and deadlift lifts. Ted is also passionate about exploring cities through street photography, capturing unique moments with his film camera (Canon Canonet QL17 G-III) and digital camera (Fujifilm X-T10).
