S&P Global announced the "2025 S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook" on the 11th. A total of 70 Taiwanese companies were selected, including WIN Semiconductors (3105) , Zhen Ding-KY (4958) , Nan Pao (4766) , PharmaEssentia (6446) , SOLAR (1785) , and Gamania (6180) , an increase of 17 companies from 2024. QIC founder and CEO Li Hongji pointed out that in addition to the companies that have been selected continuously this year, many Taiwanese companies have entered the list for the first time, reflecting the active investment and innovative practices of various industries in sustainable development.
Taiwan's companies' performance in the ESG field has gradually gained international recognition, demonstrating their progress and commitment to sustainable operations. Li Hongji said: "The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook uses the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) score adopted by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) as a benchmark to evaluate the sustainable development capabilities of companies from the three major ESG aspects. CSA helps companies understand their position in the industry and increases their visibility among investors who value sustainable investments. In addition, CSA is aligned with international standards, enabling companies to respond more effectively to different sustainability assessment and disclosure requirements."
Every year, S&P Global recognizes companies that demonstrate sustainable development advantages in their respective industries based on the results of their Corporate Sustainability Assessment. The 2025 S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook evaluated 7,690 companies in 62 major industries worldwide. In the end, only 780 companies stood out. Taiwan had 70 companies selected, spanning industries such as semiconductors, electronic components, biotechnology and medicine, chemicals, banking and finance.
