About
Candice has over 21 years of experience advising companies and investors on investment and M&A transactions. She specializes in equity investment, mergers and acquisitions, project financing, leveraged investment, and other transaction structure planning, commercial terms design and negotiation, corporate evaluation, and other financial advisory services.
Experience
Before joining QIC, Candice was a Managing Director at FCC Partners, where she completed several cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and other financial advisory services. Investment and M&A cases include TPG's acquisition of HCP (#1 Packaging company in Asia), Avis's acquisition of Payless (#6 car rental service company in the US), the introduction of Kinpo Group, a strategic shareholder of Eastech Holding Limited (audio manufacturer), Synmold Enterprise's acquisition of Leohub (hub components), Permira's acquisition of Grobest(Asian leading shrimp/fish feed producer), KKR's sale of MMI (majorHDD mechanics manufacturer), and numerous equity investment or divestment. Prior to joining FCC Partners, Candice started her investment banking career at Global Investment Holdings, where she was actively involved in advising and providing shareholders and investors with strategic investment advice in the Greater China region. Notable cases include BOE's acquisition of TPV, invited strategic investment part for the 3PL for Beijing Ershang Group Co., Ltd, reorganized CATV MSO (multiple system operators) for Beiga Jade Bird Group, and Carlyle's acquisition of EMC/EBC. Before working at Global Investment Holdings, Candice worked for CCIS (acquired by CRIF), a Taiwanese credit bureau and an independent value agency, where she gained extensive experience in enterprise valuation, intangible assets/technology capitalization, goodwill impairment testing, licensing and royalty terms evaluation and negotiations.
Education & Fun Facts
Candice holds two Master's Degrees: a Master of Science (MS) in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Science in International Economics from Taiwan National Chung Cheng University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics from National Chung Hsing University. In her personal time, Candice is an avid marathoner and swimmer.
